The draft for the Guild of Bards GOAS (Guild, Organisation, Association and Society announcement) currently reads:

The Guild of Bards[]

Collecting and studying the history of the British Isles. Become a Bard, and share the history of your town!

The Guild of Bards endeavour to collect and store interesting and significant histories from all over the Kingdoms of Britain. History is becoming difficult to find and sometimes being lost - can you spend some time accurately quoting and putting into our library interesting stories from your town? If you are a traveller, can you collect histories from the towns you visit? If so, then the Guild has a place for you! Our Bard Apprentices, Bard Scribes and Bard Historians aim to save as much as possible, because all stories matter to someone, even if it was only those that wrote them. The size of this task is such that we always need more Bards. And you do not need to be a teller of stories. Our work is mainly the accurate copying and transcribing of existing work.

And are you wanting to check some detail of your past history in another town, or do you just want a copy of some of the history of your life there? Perhaps we have a Bard close by who can help you.

And if you just want to read the histories that Bards have collected, the battles, the weddings, the kidnappings, the romance, stories of nobles and farmers, whatever our Bards have seen fit to save from the vagaries of time, then apply for membership of our group as a Bard Scholar.

Desideratist, Bard Principal
